Bay View Golf Club

Bay View Golf Club sits in Milpitas, where the layout takes advantage of its hillside position: the front nine looks out toward the Bay Area skyline, while the back nine turns inward over the Milpitas valley.

The course is built on rolling fairways with greens that hold plenty of break, making accuracy and touch important for skilled players as well as casual ones. The opening hole is a short downhill par four that can tempt long hitters to go for the green, though an iron from the tee leaves a straightforward approach; horses, dogs and cats on the neighbouring properties are often part of the scene. Elsewhere the routing includes a long uphill par five where a drive down the left side sets up the second shot to a three-tiered green that cannot be seen from the fairway, requiring careful judgement of distance.
