Bailey Creek Golf Course is an 18-hole championship layout set in the Lake Almanor basin, designed by architect Homer Flint. The course is known for being approachable while still asking players to think their way around.
The opening par 4 of 450 yards offers generous room from the tee, though the rough and a set of right-side bunkers reward a well-placed drive, with a pond guarding the green complex. The second hole, a 564-yard par 5, plays tight off the tee before opening up past the trees, with a fairway bunker roughly 60 yards short of the green shaping the decision on the second shot — a risk-and-reward test typical of the design.
