About Torrey Pines Golf Course
Torrey Pines opened in 1957, designed by course architect William P. Bell and completed by his son, William F. Bell. The La Jolla property is home to two 18-hole championship layouts, known as the North and South courses.
Both courses are built to challenge a wide range of players, from recreational golfers to tournament professionals, with narrow fairways, thick rough, extensive bunkering and considerable length.
