About Fort Washington Golf & Country Club
Fort Washington Golf and Country Club traces its origins to 1923, when it opened as a nine-hole layout with dirt fairways and sand greens. The original design came from architect William Watson. The club takes its name from a military fort built in the area by early pioneers and settlers.
The opening hole plays as a reachable par that rewards accuracy, with bunkers flanking both sides of the landing area and out of bounds running the length of the right side. Players can lay up or try for the green in two, finishing on a large, undulating putting surface guarded by bunkers.

The second hole is a demanding par four, with out of bounds and tall eucalyptus trees to the right and a pair of bunkers on the left. Even a well-struck drive leaves a long approach, again with out of bounds right and trees and a bunker to the left.
