About Bluff Pointe Golf Course and Learning Center
Bluff Pointe Golf Course and Learning Center sits beside the San Joaquin River in Fresno, on land held by the San Joaquin River Conservancy and Ecological Preserve. Founded in 1989 by Gary Hooper and originally known as Islewood, the property is now under new ownership and is surrounded by natural landscape and wildlife.
The course has nine holes in an executive layout, with four par 4s and five par 3s, allowing for a quick round. The par 4s range from roughly 200 to 330 yards and are drivable for stronger players. All nine holes include purple tee boxes for junior golfers.

Practice is a focus here: the driving range has an all-grass hitting surface that lets golfers take real divots, room for dozens of players at once, a depth of 250 yards, and lighting for evening sessions.
