About Eureka Municipal Golf Course
Eureka Municipal Golf Course is a traditional coastal layout with tree-lined fairways, small undulating greens, several ponds and a meandering creek that crosses much of the property. The grounds support native plants and wildlife, including coastal redwoods, rhododendrons, red-tailed hawks, osprey, deer and assorted waterfowl, and the course is certified by Audubon International as a Cooperative Sanctuary.

Measuring close to 5,700 yards, the course places a premium on accuracy and shot shape. Its modest length suits beginners, while the design and the ocean breeze supply challenge for stronger players. The architect was Bob E. Baldock, who designed numerous courses across California, among them the shore course at Monterey Peninsula Country Club.
Facilities include a driving range, a practice green, a golf shop and a small restaurant serving breakfast and lunch. Lesson packages for beginners, seniors, juniors and groups are taught by PGA Professionals.
