About Tehama Golf Club

Tehama Golf Club in Carmel was designed by architect Jay Morrish, who began his career working under Robert Trent Jones Sr. and George Fazio before contributing to every Jack Nicklaus course built between 1972 and 1982. In partnership with Tom Weiskopf, Morrish designed Loch Lomond in Scotland, Forest Highlands in Flagstaff, Troon and Troon North in Scottsdale, and Double Eagle in Columbus, Ohio.

After establishing his own firm, Morrish went on to design The Golf Club Scottsdale, The Reserve in Palm Springs, and Las Colinas in Irving, Texas. Of his extensive portfolio, he has described Tehama as one of the most distinctive courses he has created.
