About Bishop Country Club
Bishop Country Club sits in Eastern California between the White Mountains and the High Sierra, with green fairways framed by mountain scenery and water coming into play on all but two of its holes.
The course was designed by Joe Williams and built in 1963. It measures 6,595 yards and plays to a par of 71, with 36 on the front nine and 35 on the back, over rye grass turf and a slope rating of 130.
Practice facilities include a lighted driving range, a chipping area, practice bunkers and putting greens, and golf professionals are on hand to assist players of any ability. Steve Shibley serves as Golf Professional, and the club is a member of the Northern California Golf Association and the PGA.
