About Lake of the Pines Proshop and Golf Course
Lake of the Pines is a private, gated community set between Auburn and Grass Valley in Nevada County, California, governed by a homeowner-elected association and originally developed in 1967 as a recreational retreat from city living. Today it includes just over 2,000 homes and more than 4,000 residents.
The community centers on a 232-acre human-made lake with five miles of shoreline, ringed by homes, parks, recreation courts and a 19-hole golf course. Play and other amenities are reserved for members and their guests.

Beyond golf, the property offers tennis, pickleball and bocce courts, basketball and sand volleyball courts, a junior Olympic-size pool, a 148-boat marina and seven lakeside parks. Two dining options with full bars — a sports lounge and a lakefront clubhouse — are also available for events, parties and celebrations.
