About Lake Havasu Golf Club
Lake Havasu Golf Club traces its origins to Robert P. McCulloch Sr., the founder of Lake Havasu City, who saw a golf course as a way to attract prospective land buyers to the newly developing community — the same reasoning behind his purchase and relocation of the London Bridge.
Construction began in 1965. The front nine opened for play in 1967, with the back nine following in 1969, giving the club a full 18 holes.
The club also offers instruction programs for golfers at a range of levels, from complete beginners taking up the game for the first time to regular players working to lower their scores.
