Paradise Valley Athletic Club
About Paradise Valley Athletic Club
Paradise Valley Athletic Club dates to 1967, when local PGA professional Ellis Bogan founded it on a 120-acre tract along Mud Creek, on Old Missouri Road between Fayetteville and Springdale — ground that was then considered open countryside.
Bogan engaged golf course architect Maury Bell to lay out 18 holes, designed as a championship test while also offering strategically placed tees on every hole for women and junior players. The course is known for large, well-contoured greens and extensive bunkering.

Under Bogan's direction, the club hosted several South Central Section PGA events and a Southwest Conference Championship, and served as a training ground for Razorback golfers, among them two-time major champion John Daly.
