Lagoon Park Golf Course
About Lagoon Park Golf Course
Lagoon Park Golf Course was designed by Atlanta architect Charles Graves and opened in 1978 on parkland that had originally been swamp. The setting carries a distinctly southern character, with fairways framed by century-old oaks, tall pines, dogwoods and California raindrop trees, and spring bringing out hundreds of blooming azaleas and flowering trees along the paths.
The par-72 layout stretches to 6,800 yards from the back tees and is gentle enough underfoot that walking is a common choice. Tif Dwarf Bermuda fairways bend through numerous doglegs lined with trees, placing a premium on positioning and course management. The 550-yard par-5 15th is the standout test, a double dogleg that swings left before turning back right to the green, with tall pines guarding the first bend.
