About RTJ Golf Trail at Oxmoor Valley

The Back Yard at Oxmoor Valley is a short course whose holes place a premium on precise approach play into undulating greens.

The opening hole climbs gently to a rolling green angled from the left front to the back right, with a greenside bunker guarding the back-right pin position and keeping shots missed to the right from running further down the slope. The second is the only hole here with a horizontally set tee box, allowing players to choose an angle of attack into a sharply two-tiered green; finding the correct tier leaves a reasonable birdie look, while the wrong side makes two putts a challenge.

The shortest hole on the course is not necessarily the simplest, playing uphill to a green with a pronounced false front that feeds anything short back down to the approach. Tee shots that hold the putting surface are left with a makeable birdie putt.
